Description
Beyond the Crowd is a 10-week seminar designed to help high school seniors write a college admission essay that reflects maturity, clarity, and a distinct individual voice. Rather than relying on trends or exaggerated storytelling, students are guided to examine their experiences thoughtfully, articulate their values, and write with purpose and restraint. The seminar emphasizes strong composition, careful revision, and intellectual honesty, helping students move from uncertainty to a polished personal statement that stands apart through substance rather than spectacle. With structured guidance and individualized feedback, students complete an essay that presents them as reflective, capable, and prepared for the demands of higher education.
This seminar will be available during the spring semester 2027 for college applicants who plan to apply for fall 2027 admission. Seminar limited to 4 students. Cost: $400/student.
